Who Goes to Florida in the Summer?

Who Goes to Florida in the summer, you ask. We do! We absolutely love the panhandle in the summertime. Being from Wisconsin, most people flock to the warm climates during our cold winters. Because we do something contrary to that, people question us. We began our love affair with St. George Island Florida in 1998 and have returned thirteen times since then. Actually in 2005, we had to spend the week in Cape San Blas due to Hurricane Dennis's visit to our beloved St. George. We really feel that St. George is about as close to heaven as we can get here on this earth. As far as it being too hot there in the summer, here is our answer. It is the same temperature as Wisconsin in the summer and we have the gulf to go into whenever it gets hot. The breezes off the Gulf are always so pleasant. My dream would be to own a home on the Island someday, but that is unlikely to happen.
